Measure The Performance Gaps That Exist In Your Sales Team

 

Everyone has some sort of gap between where they are and where they want to be... The Team Assessment Tool, developed by Sandler Training, helps you define your current reality, your ideal benchmarks for top performance, and the gaps between the two. This information is critical for the development of a successful team.

Consider these questions...

  • Have you identified any skill gaps and developed a training or hiring program to address them?
  • Do you know the top key performance indicators required for each of your team members to be successful in their roles?
  • How effective are each of your team members at those skills?
  • If asked, would they say the exact same things?

How does it work?

Basically, everyone involved in the department ranks statements on how important they are to the team's success and how effective you are at them. Then a report is generated on the gaps, and it tells you which ones are most critical from the employee's and manager’s perspective. It should only take about 15-20 minutes of each person’s time, and the results should help you and the team get on the same page with regards to your strength and weaknesses.

Additionally, reassessing after a period of training gauges the improvement made in specific areas. There are currently surveys available for general management, sales management, sales, professional services, and customer care teams. A team must have at least 3 people total, and include at least one manager.
